Appreciating the Small Stuff

Some recent relief from the summer heat was a welcome addition to already enjoyable gatherings. Visiting with family and friends, hiking, and driving with the windows down all in beautiful weather is a perfect mix. Low key days like this are a good reminder of how much we have to be grateful for, big and small.

As we approach the end of summer, I can’t help but feel anticipation for the turn of the seasons. Glimpses of cooler temperatures make it clear Fall is around the corner. Fall is my favorite time of year with the crisp air and colorful foliage. It seems like once Labor Day arrives, it’s full steam ahead to end of year holidays and events. Fall is a good way to ease into the end of year rush and appreciate your surroundings. As Pam from The Office says, “There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things, isn’t that kind of the point?”
